Mary LaRae Walkley
Over the past 30 years, Mary Walkley has developed her voice technique. While her primary mentors were Kathleen and Seth Riggs, she has also been influenced by the teachings of her many colleagues and friends.
The Connected Voice is a technique which allows the student to develop a voice which is connected as one voice from the bottom to the top, which is effortlessly produced in all registers, which resonates with strength and beauty, which can easily master any style, and which never gets tired. Sound too good to be true? Listen to some of Mary's students by pressing this button! They are the living proof that this voice technique really delivers results!
The Connected Voice
I studied voice technique with Seth and Kathleen Riggs. This is a partial list of singers who studied and use the technique that I teach. Most just studied with Seth; some we have both worked with; and some have just studied with me. Others have worked with some of his many associate teachers. Some, like Cher, and Bernadette Peters, work with his first wife in NYC, Adrienne Angel. There are many others not listed here, who prefer not to have their names used. They, and all of the listed artists use this SAME technique, invented in Italy and called Belle Canto, and resurrected , codified, and passed on by Seth Riggs. I am honored to be one of the few remaining teachers who has ever worked extensively and personally with Seth over several years, and also with his late wife, Kathleen Riggs.
Cher, Madonna, Beyonce, SWV, En Vogue, Barbra Streisand, the entire Jackson family, Paula Abdul, Luther Vandross, Stevie Wonder, Josh Groban, Backstreet Boys, Mandy Gonzalez, Doug Sills, Boys 2 Men, Nina Simone, Sinead O Connor, the Pointer Sisters, Bonnie Raitt, Bryan Adams, Julie Andrews, Luci Arnaz, Earth Wind & Fire, Bernadette Peters, Nicholas Cage, Bee Gees, Michael Bolton, Angela Blasi, Pat Boone, Ricky Martin, Jose Jose, Daniella Romo, Carol Burnett, Didi Bridgewater, Tevin Campbell, Belinda Carlyle, David Cassidy, Chaka Khan, Ray Charles, Stanley Clark, Natalie Cole, Tom Cruise, Tim Curry, MacCauley Culkin, Patty Duke, Nancy Dussault, Jane Fonda, Johnny Gil, Whoopee Goldberg, Melanie Griffith, Robert Guillaume, Gene Hackman, Greg Harrison, Julio and Enrique Iglesias, James Ingram, Al Jarreau, Prince, Waylon Jennings, Nicole Kidman, Molly Ringwald, Ceci Pennistan, Dusty Springfield, Sylvester Stallone, Tiffany, Shanice Wilson, Tamia, Anthony Kiedes, Franki Valli, Eduardo Villa, Phil Webb, Deniece Williams, Paul Stanley, Peter Cetera, Ozzy Osbourne, Bob and Jakob Dylan, Diana Ross, Lionel Richie, Marvin Gaye, Shirley MacLaine, Liza Minelli, Kim Basinger, Ann Margaret, Val Kilmer, Cheech Marin, Toby Maguire, Patrick Wilson, Katherine McPhee, Irene Cara, and many more.
Come learn the exact same technique!
Style, genre, age etc don’t matter. I’ve been teaching this technique for over 30 years! Here’s your chance to learn it too.
Hello! And welcome to my website! I'm thrilled that you are here, because if you are, you are no doubt looking to improve your voice. Trust me, you couldn't be more in the right place.
Are you frustrated with your vocal progress? Taking lessons but not improving? Being forced to sing a style you really don't want to sing? Paying money for lessons but feel like you aren't getting your money's worth? Trust me, I feel your pain. And again, you couldn't be more in the right place!
I teach a proven, effective vocal technique that connects the voice from the bottom to the top, with no "break," and which resonates with strength and beauty. As you ascend in pitch, you will learn to let the external musculature release, allowing you to sing even in the highest ranges with no effort! You also will be able to sing any style, including but not limited to: jazz, R&B, pop, reggae, rock, musical theatre, alternative, and yes, even opera!!! Once your voice is working correctly, there is no limit to what you can do with it!!! Sound too good to be true? Come have just one lesson with me. You will leave singing better than you ever have, and that will only get better as you continue your training and practice. The way this works is, the more you practice, the faster you get better.
Expect to get better!!!
Don't put this off any longer!
Come and see me today!
